Yeah, I had this moment of rediscovery when I realized I still had this blog. A little change here, a little new background there and this old forgotten blog will look like I did it on purpose. (All over again...)
Too much senseless ramblings? My apologies.
Moving onto goodies :D
Alright, I made a Youtube video of what I'm going to say next, but I wanted to write it out to explain a little more because although we live in the modern era of 2010, some of us are baffled, yes, baffled, at how to use printable coupons.
Walgreen's is having a 40% off sale this week from Sunday December 5th, to Saturday December 11th. AND if your a smart savvy shopper who never likes paying bookoo buckaroos for drugstore makeup, pull up a chair and be in awe because you can download real coupons. Try $2 dollars off 1 item, coupons.
(insert WOWing green aliens from Pizza Planet)
First off, it's legitimate to download and print coupons on your own computer. Yes, you need to download the coupon application to your computer, and no, I haven't seen any Trojans or computer malfunctions afterwards. I trust, Coupons.com and redplum.com...because 1 Redplum is a flier of coupons you get in your newspaper every Sunday and Coupons.com has never led me astray. I have been doing it ever since I found Stephanie Nealson's Youtube channel when she explained how it worked.
Her saving's method is simple. Sale item + Coupon = more savings. Now sometimes you can find a sale item + a manufactures coupon + a store coupon = more better savings...but that's for another day.
SOOO....
Sunday I went and here is what I bought:
2 limited edition Colorsensational lipsticks each are normally $7.49
with the 40% off they are reduced to $4.49 (not bad..)
with my Maybelline 2 dollar off any colorsensational lip product : $2.49 (nice! :)
I got one colorsensational lip liner in Toast which is normally 6.29 (egad)
with the 40% off its reduced to a whopping $3.77
plus the 2 dollar off any colorsensational lip product : $1.77 (much much better thank you)
then I got two maybelline marbled eye shadow duos in Khaki Craze and Bronze Blowout. Each retail $6.99.
With the 40% off sale they are reduced to $4.19
then with my $2 eye studio coupon they are just: $2.19 each.
All together then:
If I had been unwise and paid for these things without sales and coupons the total would be: $35.25 (this is also without sales tax too)
If I had just bought these items during the 40% off sale without a coupon the total would be: $22.13
Right there that is a savings of $13.12
Now with the 40% sale and 2 dollar coupons I paid: $11.13.
Yep 11.13 for 5 products. These things weren't on clearance, these things were worth taking advantage of that's what! So do yourself a favor, check out these links below, download the coupon printing software, make sure your printer is on and have some scissors handy because honey, you will save $$$ when you make your money work as hard as you do. :D
Walgreens has 40% off Maybelline
Redplum
$2 dollars off any ONE eye studio product
FYI: This shouldn't be a downer, but I must tell you, most of these sites, like redplum.com and coupons.com will only allow you to print 2 times of the same coupon. Don't forge these coupons by scanning your printed ones and copying and printing again (Don't Don't Don't) ---what you can do is find another computer with a different printer hook up and print up to 2 more again.
Take care!

II. Cover all your bases
So these last few days I've been working with a new primer, Tarte's Clean Slate. It has a hefty tag ($30.00) but Tarte's website was doing a Friends and Family sale, so I nabbed it at $18.00. For some that could still be a bit pricy but the way I look at it is I paid $15 dollars to try Make Up Forever primer and I got half the amount. (.5 fl oz I believe)
Besides I've heard that Tarte is worth the money and its primer contained more natural ingredients and frankly, if your husband decides to spoil you, let him. :)
The first day I wore it:
Loreal's pore resmoother
Boots Anti-Shine facial lotion
Tarte's Clean Slate
And Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse Foundation (not the smooth one, we don't have that here. Still. lol)
And it did ok.
The second day I wore it I used
Loreal's pore resmoother
Tarte's Clean Slate
and Covergirls Trublend mousse foundation (the one in the glass jar)
And holy moley something magical happened...my skin looked amazing. With that foundation and that primer it was like two girls with similar interests, they are bound to get along. My mother complimented me. My husband complimented me. And the mirror with my reflection shooting back at me was happy.
So today I'm wearing it with
Loreal's pore remoother
Tarte's Clean Slate
and Everyday Minerals base in Fair Matte Foundation
Now, today I've hit jackpot number 2. It works fantastically with my powder foundation. It doesn't look flat, it doesn't cake up. In fact it almost makes me tempted to get another one of these primers for a back up. lol
But I will resist temptation for the time being the next foundations I have to try are:
Revlon's Color Stay
Maybelline's pure (something... its in a little aqua squeeze tube)
I will say, I have natural combination/oily skin. It becomes almost normal/combo in the winter time. So its natural for my oiliness to come through. Nothing I've ever owned is matte enough to keep me...well matte. And in all honesty, I prefer a little shine. It makes me look like I was born pretty. lol I do use oil blot sheets throughout the day and when I bought this primer I wasn't expecting it to preform a mattifying miracle. I use primers to make my makeup last. And to keep my skin from breaking out. And if it does either of those two, or both, to me its a product that wins. Once I'm done with testing it out with my other foundations, then I will do a formal review on my thoughts.

I. Sharing is Caring
Lets get ourselves introduced (because I certainly don't bite.) :)
My real name is Christina and its been that way since birth. I've been watching youtube videos a lot longer than I've made them. In fact, I've tried making several channels and I always felt something was lacking. Maybe it was because I was new. Or maybe I'm boring to see. Or my camera wasn't the greatest. All of those things became something I felt pitted against and my feeble attempts at joining the YT cmmunity felt like a major fail on my behalf.
But from the fiery depths of my low morale, I have decided that this time I want to make an enjoyable channel. (pow!) I don't know where it will take me but I do know that beauty is something that doesn't exist on the outside, its grown from within. We make our own happiness and luck and by George, we can make ourselves over each and everyday.
So if today wasn't your best, there is always tomorrow. :D
In a nutshell, this is pretty much what I'm all about. I'm not striving to be anything else but me and I don't see this world or the YT beauty community in shades of Carbon black or Snow white. I see it as a community and each individual puts forth their share. If there share is a little self absorbed, that's there share. If there share is honest and genuine, that's there share. And if there share is on the goofier, sillier side. Then that's there share.
So is it okay if I share with you?
<3, Christina (or BizzooBizzoo on YT)
